This stunning one bedroom property sleeps 2 adults and one young child (11 years and under) and has it's beautiful own hot tub and log burner. It's surrounded by countryside and is the perfect place to unwind for both a romantic retreat or a break with a little one. Its only 10 minutes to the nearest beach and there's a host of other beaches not far away. There are plenty of paths for walks or cycling along the mineral tramways and local landmark Carn Brea which are accessible from the property.
This stunning property that has been purpose built for couples or couples with one young child (11 years and under) has been built brand new in 2020.
It has a gorgeous open plan living space down stairs with all the space you could need to replace, book, watch TV or simple chill out by the cosy warm fire.
Upstairs it has a huge ensuite bedroom with stunning views over the nearby countryside.
What really tops it off is the hot tub outside which has plenty of room to relax in after a long day travelling. Also outside is a barbecue area for those sunny summer days.
The whole property is spacious and really has the wow factor, when you come, you simply won't want to leave!

Downstairs - An open plan kitchen that is extensively equipped. There is also an open plan living room with log fire, corner sofa and flat screen TV. Also downstairs is a toilet that has a shower in.
Upstairs - A very generously sized master ensuite with a lovely king-size bed. It also has a sofa bed that can be used for an infant/child too big for a cot or for two friends sharing the property. Use of a cot and highchair is also available.

One of the oldest towns in Cornwall, Redruth has a jam packed heritage in mining that reaches right back to the bronze age. From you holiday cottage in Redruth you’ll be on the doorstep of history. In the 19th century, Redruth was the centre of Cornwall’s once-rich tin mining industry and was the richest and largest metal mining area of the UK and was an integral part of the industrial revolution. A hotbed of industrial invention and home even to gas lighting, this incredible town was pivotal in the spread of Cornish goods and culture all over the modern world.
Whilst no longer an industrial mining town, much of this rich history remains on show in the clean, sunny streets which are lined with the grand buildings of a commercial past, with highlights including the Butter Market, Victorian theatre, the Coffee Tavern and the old mining exchange which once held boisterous auctions for locally mined copper and tin. Many of these old building have now been repurposed and although carefully preserved, now play host to holiday makers venturing out from their Redruth holiday cottages to enjoy fine foods, Cornish cream tea and coffee. Antique and vintage clothing shops also abound in many of Redruth’s historic buildings and there’s plenty of curiosities and history to keep even the least keen shoppers occupied.
Old mining tracks running from Redruth, close to many of the holiday cottages for rent in Redruth, now offer beautiful, near-level cycle and walking trails which are perfect for exploring the stunning Cornish countryside around Redruth. There’s also plenty of opportunity to stop off along the way for a pasty, a cream tea, or even a traditional Cornish cyder.
Close to town are plenty attractions for visitors on a rental cottage holiday in Redruth, including the watersports and angling centre at Stithians Lake and Country Park which is a great spot to get out sailing and windsurfing without the risks of the open ocean. One of the county’s top free visitor attractions, Heartlands, is also close by, offering 19 acres of fun packed family adventure including gardens, exhibitions, climb-on sculptures, craft studios and a giant adventure playground. You can learn even more about Cornish mining heritage at the National Trust’s Cornish Mines and Engines discovery centre at East Pool mine, or go further back in time at the 5,000 year old Neolithic hill fort remains and 18th century castle, near Barn Crea. You can even go shopping crazy and Cornwall Gold at Treasure Park, which houses the largest jewelry collection in Cornwall.

Loading map...We stayed at Ivy Barn for my birthday. On arrival it felt homely and super cosy. Lovely layout and spacious. It had that home from home feeling. After a day out the hot tub was a lovely relaxing experience for tired feet.
Everything you needed. Added extras in the utility room if needed. Very private and good location if you’re planning on travelling around.
We have no faults to say about this lovely place. Thankyou so much
The stay, location and presentation of the cottage was perfect for us. It was immaculate and tasteful in every way, the local amenities were close enough but far enough away, and access to all parts of Cornwall were just a 30 mins drive in any direction.
We would stay there many times over without hesitation and recommend to friends and family.

Right from the start the communication was very good and concise.
I was made aware of any issues and reciprocated any issues I had with them.
I was very impressed with the craftsmanship on the refurbishments done at the place.
Ivy Barn is absolutely stunning, beautiful views and surroundings, peaceful (for relaxing in the hot tub) and just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of what Cornwall has to offer!
Beautiful place with a lovely big kitchen, amazing shower, comfy bed and lovely views. The hot tub was great for relxing after a long day full of activities. Everything was perfectly clean and I have zero complaints about the whole place. Was such a nice place to stay and I wish i couldve stayed there forever.

Lovely clean house in a peaceful, quiet area. The hot tub was very nice. And we were quite close by car to beaches and local attractions.
Lovely cottage, easy check in/out, good central location to access different towns however not that much to do in the local area although we were aware of this when booking. Everything was as described, kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the place was very clean! Hot tub was a lovely addition although we felt it could have been a little bit warmer!
Would definitely recommend staying, we plan on booking again on our next visit to Cornwall. Only thing I would say is that I couldn't find the BBQ grill which we were a little bit disappointed about.
Me and my partner had the most beautiful time staying at the Ivy Barn. It was our first time visiting Cornwall and we both wanted to visit St Ives and Newquay. The barn was in a perfect location between the both of them, around 25 minutes each direction.
The barn was immaculate and very warm and comfortable. It felt like a home from home, it had everything you needed from a comfortable bed and cosy sofa, to a hot powerful shower and most importantly a clean and well looked after hot tub.
If you’re looking for a private and romantic get away I couldn’t suggest Ivy Barn enough.
Alex and Laura also replied quickly with any questions we had, we didn’t have many because everything was brilliant.
Lovely relaxing break. Did a great flat lode walk around Carn Brea and surrounding areas.
Miss Mollys Tea Room was a great find - delicious Sunday roast and lots to discover in the adjoining rooms full of antiques and treasures.
The house itself was super comfy and warm, but we still lit the woodburner for effect!
(Please stipulate that we need to bring our own firewood)
Used the hot tub- enjoyed the seclusion, but temperature could have been a degree or two warmer as we stayed in February!
Parking really good immediately outside the front door and easy to find from the A30.

Lovely Cottage spotlessly clean with everything you need. All amenities close by. Idea central location for getting about. Lovely touch having a Christmas tree and trimmings.
There is a hot tub but only used it once as the weather wasn't suitable.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay again and would definitely recommend.
The place itself is beautiful. And we did enjoy the fact that was the lady dealing with us sort of left us to it. Just gave us that extra bit of privacy. However she did say multiple times to let her know if she can help with whatever. Everything was clean and tidy.
The only negative for us as a young couple we love our Netflix shows. Due to poor internet we couldn’t watch anything. This is a small down point and if like I can imagine you don’t mind not having internet it’s a wonderful place!!

Great stay in a great location. We visited lots of famous Cornish places and found this to be a perfect central location for all the travelling around. The accommodation itself was really nice, I am however quite tall so did bang my head a few times on the sloping ceiling. Once I got used to it I could avoid it but be aware if you are tall like me. This didn’t take away from the place at all though. There were shops very nearby and great walks up to the hills where we went to watch the sunset. And of course the amazing hot tub for relaxing. Overall a great location and accommodation where I would happily stay again. Thank you to Laura and co for making the stay so great.
What a fantastic little get away! The ivy barn is absolutely stunning! Very stylish and modern with everything you could possibly ask for! The hot tub was amazing with a great view! The bed was super comfortable and had a very homely feel to the cottage! Would stay again in a heartbeat! 100% a must book!
Great little cottage which was perfect for a long weekend.
Well equipped kitchen we were able to cook 3 out of our 4 nights comfortably. The place was missing a corkscrew but the hosts kindly got their mother (neighbour to the cottage) to bring one round which was very kind. Living area, bedroom and bathrooms all very good size and clean.
Wood burner was lovely in the evenings to keep the place warm and cozy. The hot tub in the little side garden was great to relax in as well.
Location wise this place was great, feels really out in the countryside but in reality you’re no more than 5 minute drive to the local supermarkets. There are also some nice walks around this place so we went on a quick hike one afternoon too.
Can’t fault it, and will be back again.
Stunning! We were speechless when we arrived. I booked this place for my wife and I as a mini moon. The place was spotless, spacious and the kitchen was fully equipped, along with towels and robes in the bathrooms. The bed was really comfy and the downstairs sofa and space was cosy. The hot tub was amazing, perfect temperature and settings! The actual area was really close to local Tesco etc, but a short drive to st Ives and Porthleven which had beautiful views. We did a pottery making experience in portleven and chocolate making experience in st Ives. St Ives was beautiful and we enjoyed the beaches. 10 min drive from the place is an amazing gluten free bakery which was delicious! Overall this place, everything inside that was provided, location, amenities and the Host Laura was faultless! We will defo be coming back!
Pictures don’t do the inside justice, it’s really modern and cosy, also the shower is so powerful it was lovely!
Hot tub is very nice, where it’s early in the year and in the hill the garden can be a wind trap (if it’s bad weather on the day) so I recommend bringing a sheet of some sort to act as a wind block, we used a towel which worked for a bit!

Me and my fiance spent a lovely week here. The cottage is lovely and everything was provided for us from all the little things like the robes to go out to the hot tub, washing up liquid and other essentials were provided. The host was fantastic and very welcoming they even left us a box of chocolates for when we arrived. The hot tub is great and is cleaned regularly and the cottage is very private. It is not far from Michaels mount, St Ives and Fistral beach in Newquay which we enjoyed visiting. We would definitely recommend this cottage and we will definitely be returning.
We simply cannot praise the ‘Ivy Barn’ enough, we were made to feel welcome from the minute we booked and will be recommending it to everyone we know. Laura is a fabulous hostess - The care and attention she gives each booking is phenomenal - from fresh flowers, to tea and cake awaiting to predicting what extras we might need as part of our stay eg) highchair/travel cot. The secluded location is fabulous for quiet evenings in the hot tub watching the sunset after a busy day exploring and there are great walks nearby and all the south/west Cornwall has to offer is in easy reach. The high spec, immaculately clean house was the perfect base for our first holiday as a family of three. Book now, you won’t be disappointed.
Absolutely beautfiul site! it was very spacious inside and it was in a area that was very quiet yet pretty too look at, the hot tub topped it all off but Laura was very helpful and very polite! i would 100% come back here!

Perfect romantic cottage for 2 in Cornwall with a private hot tub. Modern and peaceful
Had a fantastic stay at Ivy Barn. It was Immaculate and fully equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful views from the bedroom windows and so peaceful. The hot tub was amazing and very private, loved it. We did think a king size bed would be better as upstairs is very spacious. A supermarket a short drive away.Would highly recommend a stay here. A gorgeous cottage perfect for 3 of us, 2 adults and our 9 year old. Deceptively spacious with lots of storage! Very well equipped kitchen, full sized fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Feels remote and peaceful but a stones throw to convenient supermarkets/takeaways etc. and a great base to get to numerous days out and beaches just a short drive away. We also had a relaxing day staying in when it rained using hot tub and signed into our Netflix no problem. A lovely welcome of scones when we arrived and owners were on hand if needed and helpful. We had a lovely stay thank you!

What a lovely week stay away we had. Such a lovely little barn and lovely attention to details. Perfect size place for 2!
Location is pretty good & perfect being near a tescos for all you food needs. We also visited the castle for dinner and countryman inn pub both lovely and local!
Loved the welcome flowers and cream tea!!
The terrace and hot tub was perfect also and lovely to relax in after a long day exploring. The view from the bedroom and terrace was just lovely!
Only downside was the slowish internet and the tv could do with a re tune but no real issue. It would also be handy if there was more plates cups etc so no need to keep washing up or small loads in the dishwasher.
Aside from this what a lovely barn and stay!

The stay we had at Ivy Barn was the most relaxing stay we've had in a while. Laura was super helpful, and the welcome basket was a thoughtful touch. The place is remote and peaceful, but equipped with modern features such as a smart TV and good wifi. The barn was also spotless and super comfortable - such a bargain for the price! We have just got back from an amazing weeks stay at The Ivy Barn, it was a great location to local beaches and not far from St Ives or Falmouth for great days out! The barn itself was immaculate! All the attention to detail was there and we even got a little keep sale left from the owner which was a great touch. Certainly will be looking to te book!

Beautiful little cottage ideally located for touring the area on foot or by car. Very tastefully furnished and immaculate throughout.
Loved the hot tub at the end of a long day walking Which was situated in a lovely secluded courtyard.

Great accommodation which is located very close to supermarkets & coffee shops. A 10-20 minute drive gets you to some wonderful beaches too. Great to return home to your own hot tub. Excellent holiday home

A lovely cottage for a romantic getaway! We enjoyed the location as we drove to a different place each day. The furnishings are to a high standard and the kitchen particularly was lovely. Hot tub was a fab bonus. Definitely recommend this cottage! Cream tea & prosecco a lovely touch also!

We spent 3 wonderful night in this amazing hideaway, everything was perfect, sparkly cleaned, loved the well equipped kitchen. Location was on spot, amazing countryside views from the windows, and so close to some of the best beaches of Cornwall. We were lucky enough to stay at this beautiful accommodation before COVID19 struck. As soon as we arrived, we felt comfortable and pampered. There was a traditional cream tea on arrival. There were logs for the log burner and the whole place was immaculate and very private. It is close to local supermarkets and pubs, although you still felt like you were in your own tranquil spot. The owner was really helpful and friendly. The hot tub was amazing and private. We would highly recommend it and can't wait to go again when life returns to normality.

Myself and my husband were looking for somewhere relaxing to stay for the weekend with our 8 month old baby, somewhere out of the hustle and bustle, yet not too far from local amenities.
We found this and more at the Ivy Barn. It was in such a lovely location, and the cottage itself was beautiful, spotless and no detail had gone amiss. We were greeted with a wonderful Cornish cream tea and Prosecco, and plenty of logs to use on the log burner. The hot tub was all ready to go and nothing was too much trouble, there was even a stair gate fitted on arrival with a travel cot and high hair which meant we were able to pack light.
The accommodation had everything you could need from towels to tin foil and was deceivingly spacious! We didn’t want to leave Ivy Barn and we will definitely be returning! Thank you.
