Designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Fowey is situated on the west bank of the River Fowey between Looe and Mevagissey, and boasts many wonderful holiday lettings and holiday cabin or huts for you. Pleasure boats depart regularly from the Fowey Town Quay steps to take you on a cruise around the harbor and past the working docks and the charming Fowey Aquarium will let you get face to face with creatures from beneath the waves in its unique petting pool. Other water adventures include taking an escorted river trip in an open cockpit canoe; and you may also take the passenger ferry to the stunning Headland Garden on the Cliffside, which is open 2pm to 6pm on Thursday afternoons in summer.
