Our holiday houses in St Ives are in and around a town famous for its pristine beaches, clean air and family friendly environment. Rated as one of the 10 best beaches in Europe by TripAdvisor, St Ives really is a near-tropical house holiday paradise on UK shores.
Famously inspiring, St Ives has played home to countless famous artists and sculptors, including J M W Turner and Henry Moore; and to this day the subtropical vegetation, bright open spaces and bohemian atmosphere continue to draw and inspire sculptors, artists and poets from all over the UK and the world. Many of St Ives stunning holiday houses to rent have witnessed great works of creativity inside their walls. This ever evolving art history can be appreciated at many of the galleries and exhibitions that bring life to St Ives’ historic buildings, including one of only four Tate galleries in the world. Many a pint has been enjoyed in the town’s ancient, low-ceiling pubs while enjoying open-mic poetry and music from local artists.
Benefiting from the mildest climate in the UK, the beach at St Ives and those close by a Porthminster, Porthmeor, Harbour Beach and Porthgwidden, look like they could have been transplanted for your house holiday in St Ives from some far flung tropical island. Exploring the ancient narrow cobbled streets of the town, it can also feel like you just stepped inside a romantic novel as ancient fishing cottages and unique homes bring your imagination to life.
With great surf and Porthminster Beach and even in St Ives Bay when the swell is right, the mild water is a great place to be out enjoying yourself. Famously warm and sunny, be sure to bring your sun screen for your house holiday in St Ives.
The harbour in St Ives remains an active, working harbor and it’s possible to join the local captains here on a day out sightseeing around Godrevy Lighthouse (said to be the inspiration for Virginia Woolf's 'To the Lighthouse'), visiting the local seal colony on Seal Island, or fishing on a real Cornish fishing boat. The local seafood is also on offer in town at a wide range of fantastic restaurants and there are countless venues from which to sit and enjoy the view of the stunning bay.
Whatever holiday lettings or rental house in St Ives you choose, you may want to arrive there on the stunning train line from St Erth to St Ives, watching fishing boats putter around the golden sandy bays as you make your way into the dream Cornish holiday destination of St Ives.

Fantastic house in a prime location in St Ives. We had a great week celebrating a special birthday in the family. It was well kitted out for the children. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Can’t wait to return!
Amazing house to stay in with beautiful views of the harbour. We had a fantastic week, and the owners we really friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend!!!!
A beautiful house and a wonderful stay. Ideal location, amenities, very comfortable and excellent with a toddler. We will definitely be back!
Lovely spacious house in a perfect location. Ideal location from which to enjoy all of St Ives’ delight. We couldn’t fault anything.
The property is in an excellent location and very well appointed. The view out across the bay is ever changing and one that you could never tire of looking at.
Beautiful property with outstanding views! We had an absolutely wonderful stay :)
Amazing house, pictures don't do it justice, fantastic location. Perfect for two families. Would definitely stay again.
Our second stay at waves end. Would definitely return
Excellent position; spotlessly clean; very well equipped.Parking for one vehicle only is awkward for a property that sleeps eight as the car parks in town are over subscribed. We booked a weeks parking at the rugby club for the second car.
Thank you for your positive review. Providing an immaculately presented home is very important to us. Parking in St Ives can be tricky so we are very lucky to have private parking at the house but realise that space for a second car would be beneficial. We are on the waiting list for a nearby space so hopefully it will be our turn soon. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay :)
Such a great house, a home away from home. Everything you could need for your little one, and well thought out. The best beds i have ever stayed in. Fantastic hot tub. Brilliant views. Superb kitchen. Very modern, clean and tidy. We didnt want to leave!
Thank you for lovely review. Hopefully we will welcome you again. X
Would love to stay again! Wonderful property and great location with amazing views.
Thank you for your review. Im really disappointed to see 4 stars as you felt Waves End wasn't good value for money. Early June is £1850. If you had been a large group booking at the discounted price you paid it would have equated to less than £25 pppn. which is extremely good value. Waves End, is a big property for 2 and I imagine quite a treat. Sad to now only have a 4.7 * average review. J
Wow
What a stunning property. I’ve just come back from a truly magical weekend away. There is so much space. Everything is fitted out so well. The most comfortable beds and the kitchen is better equipped than mine at home. The views are just stunning. Plenty of bathrooms and lots of seating for everyone. The hot tub was an added bonus. Also excellent communication from the owner. I can not recommend this house highly enough. If you get the chance to go just do it!
We were absolutely stunned and Completely blown away everything is so clean. Perfect for our family holiday. Thank you so much
