Whilst we like to think of St Ives as always bathing in the wonderful Cornish sun all year around, the winter months here in Cornwall are subject to a fair few rainy and blustery day! But don’t you worry, there is plenty to do even when the sun isn’t shining, and we’ve put together our top 6 things to do in St Ives just for you!

1. Visit Tate St Ives!

A visit to Tate St Ives is must when visiting Cornwall. The sister gallery to Tate London hosts state of the art exhibitions from artists all over the globe! Whether you’re an art connoisseur or a total newbie, Tate is a great place to spend a rainy afternoon with stunning views!

2. Stop for a hot drink!

There is no better way to warm up on a cold and rainy day by grabbing yourself a hot cup of caffeine or coco! One thing you really cannot miss when visiting St Ives are the gorgeous views from the rail route that runs along the coast of St Ives! It connects the seaside town with the rest of Cornwall and is truly stunning!

Why not jump on from Lelant or St Ives for only £3 and take in the breath-taking scenes on the 10-minute journey, before strolling back to where you started!
