Rainy days don't have to effect your holiday plans!

While the sun may not be shining, as we know it often doesn't here in the UK, picturesque Cornwall offers an array of exciting indoor activities and attractions that will keep the whole family entertained. In this blog post, we'll explore some of the best days out for families in North Cornwall, with a focus around Newquay as it is so easily accessible.

Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay

Step into an underwater world together.. escape the rain and learn all about our fascinating marine life. Marvel at fish and sharks from the underwater tunnels, and join in the educational talks and feed sessions. This is a day out for all ages to enjoy, and a fab way to learn more about conservation!

Pirate's Quest Adventure Golf, Newquay

You’ll be transported back 300 years to begin your golfing adventure aboard the wreck of the Royal Anne Galley – a pirate hunter’s ship that really did wreck off the coast of Cornwall in 1721. Uncover the secret hidden doorway to escape to dry land and start your journey through the mystical caves and murky streets of Eighteenth Century Cornwall. Search for pirate treasure whilst remaining dry, and learn all about the Cornish Legends.

Trampoline Parks, Various Locations

Get bouncing! Stuck inside bored and wondering what to do while the rain pours outside your cottage? Head to one of Newquay's trampoline parks for a dopamine hit! Bounce and jump to your heart's content on interconnected trampolines, challenge each other on obstacle courses, and even try your hand at freestyle tricks in a safe environment. It's a great way for the kids to burn off energy if they can't get to the beach, and trust us - you will have a ball!

Coasteering, Various Locations

It's wet, and you don't really care about getting soggier. So dive in to a coasteering adventure and get outdoors regardless! There are a ton of coasteering and watersports adventure companies running all along the coast of Cornwall. Try your hand at kayaking. If the water is calm enough, attempt stand up paddle boarding. And for a real thrill seeking experience get climbing and clambering around the Cornish caves, rocks and cliffs and see a side to the county you've never seen with a coasteering guide. You'll make memories that will last a life time.

Indoor water park with flumes, Newquay

You can still splash away, despite it not being optimal beach weather. This indoor tropical-themed waterworld has flumes for a scream worthy day out for the whole family. If these slides just aren't enough and you're happy braving the elements, why not head to a giant Slip and Slide? There are multiple set up across Cornwall for the summer holidays!
