Cornwall is a magical destination in Autumn, steeped in rich cultural heritage, beautiful coastal scenery and spectacular historic venues, making for the perfect setting to watch fireworks together as a family. With Bonfire night looming we have pulled together the most exciting firework displays in the South West, not only offering magical beach and countryside locations but those with renowned displays and weekend long celebrations which involve hog roasts, bonfires, local Cornish market traders and more!

1 Lappa Valley, Newquay, 27 & 28 October

A little earlier than the 5th November, spend a weekend in Newquay at the Lappa Valley Grand Fireworks weekender! Enjoy a nostalgic steam train ride and take in the beauty of the 18th century engine house. The Kernow Fireworks Company start the firework display at 7.30pm on Saturday. You can ride the Woodland Railway prior to the show, have some family fun in the kids play area, and there’s plenty of delicious hot food and alcoholic drinks on offer too for the adults.

2 Fistral Beach Bar, Newquay, 5th November

If you’ve come to Cornwall to make the most of the beach, head to Fistral Beach Bar in Newquay on Sunday 5th November for their enchanting annual fireworks event. Get there early to get the best spot, get your toes in the sand and tuck in to some winter warming comfort food and a pint or glass of wine. The fireworks display starts at 6.15pm.

3 Pengenna Manor, Wadebridge, 5th November

Celebrate Guy Fawkes with a bang! The bonfire night party at Pengenna manor will feature a hog roast, treats from Crème de la Crepe, marshmallow toasting around a fire pit and a fully licensed bar, open until late! There will be music of course, the huge firework display by KernowFireworks will start at 9pm. The bonfire night party starts at 6.30pm and runs until late.

4 Newquay Sports Centre, Newquay, 4th November

Last year more than 5000 attendees visited the NQY Sports Centre in Newquay for their annual firework display. Held on the 4th November this year, make your way to the daytime beer festival before enjoying entertainment through the evening, including a huge cinema screen, inflatable fun fair, food vendors. For those without children, there’s a DJ and after party too. We can’t wait for this years captivating display by the sea!   

5 Tremorvah Playing Field, Truro, 3rd November

This years extravaganza in Truro will start at 5pm, get there early to avoid the crowds and get a good viewing spot for one of the best nights of the year! All funds raised will be going to local Cornish charities. Get your scarves and gloves on, the children’s sparklers lit and watch their faces light up at the annual Bonfire and Fireworks event near Falmouth. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30p, fireworks will start at 7pm. Refreshments will be available.
