A luxury break in Cornwall with something for everyone, and the dog!

Looking forward to next Summer already and on the hunt to find the best Cornwall accommodation that will suit the whole family – rural luxurious cottages perhaps that boast an amazing location, close to some of the UK’s best beaches and family friendly attractions, but tranquil and set in peaceful woodlands? With balconies to watch the blissful sunsets and hot tubs for you to switch off in during the evenings?

If you love an enchanting centre parks ‘off grid’ feel, you will love The Valley Cottages

These self-catering cottages in the Truro countryside are set in quiet gardens and forests, where all you can hear are the sounds of Cornwall’s nature. With dog walks and pixie trails around the 13 acre site and plenty for the kids to do - including indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts and a modern games room.

These 5* cottages are nestled in a valley near to the busy bustling port of Falmouth. These modern Cornish cottages are within easy reach to Cornwall’s best beaches, many of which are dog friendly all year round - including Loe, Portreath and Chapel Porth. All these are between 10-25 minutes drive from Carnon Downs.

The Valley offers a variety of modern and uniquely designed 2 and 3 bed cottages that sleep between 4-6 people, all fully equipped to take the stress out of your break and all with unique character and cosy charm. Some cottages are dog-friendly and include private hot tubs!

When you book a holiday in Cornwall, there is no need to compromise. You can stay in luxury and unwind whilst having all the places to adventure on your doorstep! Think South West Coast Path hikes, cycle routes, wild swimming lagoons, adrenaline filled days as a family trying surfing and a variety of water sports along the coast.

During the Summer holidays, there are free activities on all week

For a perfect summer holiday, the Valley team organise archery lessons, exotic animal experiences and more. This means you can relax in your own hot tub whilst the kids are entertained with activities all week, or relax by the heated outdoor pool with a cocktail from the onsite restaurant Azura. The Valley boast amazing facilities, including a gym, on site restaurant, secure dog paddock, large play park, tennis courts, and indoor and outdoor pools.

Staying in these home-from-home, cosy cottages offers the advantages of staying in a 5* hotel. The staff on site are on hand to help with babysitters, dog sitters, in cottage massage treatments and so much more. The kitchens are simply beautiful and offer everything you could need for a self-catering holiday. If you’re taking your dogs, you’ll also receive a welcome box including special treats and a special tag for their walks in Cornwall! The cottage will be ready with a bed and blankets so they feel right at home too.

Why is Truro such a great place to stay in Cornwall?

Truro is a central cultural and historic hub and is actually the only city in Cornwall! Obviously this means it offers great transport links around Cornwall, making it easy for you to see new picturesque towns and sea side villages along the Cornish coast. Truro and Falmouth make a great base to explore Cornwall but are also home to some of the most stunning blue flag sandy beaches, including Gyllyngvase beach.

The famous Eden project is less than an hour away from The Valley in Truro. Not only do they offer an amazing and educational experience in the biomes in the summer, The Eden hosts a fantastic Christmas market too. As for Truro itself, it’s host to the BIG Truro Christmas market which is renowned in Cornwall and tops Christmas event lists annually.

Although Falmouth has a great buzz, it is a wildlife haven. Take a ferry ride to St Mawes and in the right season you’ll often get to see dolphins ride alongside, and frequently seals! As well as attracting wildlife, Truro attracts some of the biggest household names to The Hall for Cornwall. This theatre hosts music and comedy nights all year around in the heart of Truro.

Visiting villages in Cornwall can often feel quite remote, this base in Truro offers you the best of both. Both Truro and Falmouth are thriving with independent bakeries and shops, and the cobbled streets, beautiful Truro cathedral and elegant Georgian architecture are delightful to roam around. After sightseeing, you won’t be stuck for somewhere to eat.. like often the case in some Cornish towns, as these towns offer plenty of variety from traditional Cornish cuisine to international favourites.
